COVID-19 returning restrictions (Part 2)

THINGS TO NOTE:

  • STAY HOME IF YOU ARE UNWELL

  • SANITISE YOUR HANDS

  • STAY 1.5M APART

  • No Showers

  • No Change Rooms

  • No Kids

  • No Chalk

  • Class check-in (on the iPad) will be done by the coach for you

Please be patient with the coaches as we get our heads around how things will work going froward (in regards to distancing, class layout, cleaning of equipment etc).

I want to give everyone (coaches and members) an opportunity to adjust and understand how we best workout and follow guidance in regards to safe distancing, hygiene and layout of classes to maximise the user experience while we are still under restrictions and we will review measures frequently too see if adjustments can be made or limitations can be eased.


RESTRICTIONS

  • We do not know when restrictions will be lifted, we will wait to hear updates from the Victorian Government. As soon as we know and are given guidelines we will begin working towards making changes as appropriate.

  • The safety of our members and their health is at the front of our minds.


PHYSICAL DISTANCING

  • At all times you need to be able to maintain minimum 1.5m between you and others.

  • We have set up suggested working spaces that provide MORE space than the suggested 4m2.


MEMBERSHIPS

  • Memberships resume on Sunday 21st June ready for Monday 22nd for those who have indicated that is their choice. This will also allow for class reservations for the week ahead.

  • Memberships can remain paused while we are still under restrictions.

  • If you are still not in a place of regular routines and wish to have your regular membership still paused you can utilise the 5 or 10 session pass option in the short term.

  • Those who we have not heard from will continue with paused memberships while we are still under restrictions.

  • Please get in touch if you have not yet indicated your choice.

GYM FACILITIES

Toilets - YES 

  • Toilets are available to be used, hands must be washed and sanitiser applied after using toilets.

Showers - NO

  • At this stage the shower is closed and we will review this as we have a better handle on things

Change Room access - NO

  • This is because they are a pinch point and we cannot guarantee physical distancing

  • You are to bring in only what you need and leave your bags in your car.

Children - NO

  • The kids space is not appropriate for distancing.

  • While the space could hold one child, or one family of children, there is no simple way to determine how to allocate/book/coordinate this, therefore is will remain unavailable until further notice.

  • If you do bring your children along in a change over with your partner, please do not let them inside the gym or side yard, they are to remain outside the facility.

GYM CHALK

  • There will be no chalk available (members can BYO chalk, but cannot leave it at the gym).

    • Chalk available for sale - $4.99 per block - pre order required as amounts are limited [BUY NOW].

OPEN GYM

To begin we will not have designated open gym times, therefore the question has been… 

Q: Can I come in for Open Gym?
A: Yes, but...

  • Those participating in class will get priority for all areas including being inside, rig lifting stations and equipment. 

  • If you would like to use class time for open gym, please turn up and notify the coach of your intention.

  • You will need to be prepared to complete your open gym outside if required. 

  • DO NOT make a reservation in class, so as not to take a spot from someone wanting to do the class WOD.

  • If you arrive and there is a “spot” inside then it will be at the coaches discretion.

  • NOTE: some members may arrive late and if you have been allowed inside but then someone arrives late for the class you may be asked to move outside. 

  • We will primarily maintain group numbers of 2x 8 (max. 16 inside) during class times, even if you are there doing open gym and not participating in the group, so open gym as person #17 will likely still see you outside.
